Contains excellent analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, and is well recognized as an effective tonic for relieving pain and discomfort for conditions such as arthritis, rheumatism and/or poor joint mobility. Tests have shown the effects of Devil’s Claw to be comparable with cortisone and phenylbutazone, without the side effects. Its diuretic properties promote liver, gall bladder and kidney function.

Suited for horses, dogs and cats. simply mix thoroughly into food.

Devil’s Claw is one of the few African plants listed in the European pharmacopoeias.

Side effects

Reported side effects of Devil's Claw are rare and mild, but it's still important to know how to use it safely.

• Pets with stomach ulcers, gallstones or duodenal ulcers should not take Devil’s Claw.
• Taking high doses of Devil’s Claw may upset the stomach in some animals, with the most common side effects being diarrhea.
